22/02/2006

Figures just released by the RNLI confirm that Kinghorn is in fact the busiest Inshore lifeboat in Scotland.

Last year was the busiest on record for the RNLI with its fleet of 52 lifeboats being launched 1016 times.

Kinghorn was the third busiest lifeboat station in Scotland with 57 launches, but the busiest inshore lifeboat, only beaten by Troon (with two lifeboats adding to their tally) and Oban which was the busiest single lifeboat with 61 launches.

South Queensferry were, as usual, close on our heels with 52 shouts.
