Another Record Year for Kinghorn Lifeboat
Kinghorn Lifeboat has had another busy year saving many lives in the Forth, and helping countless other people.
The lifeboat station responded to the call for help no less than 47 times in 2001, making it one of the busiest stations in Scotland. The year 2000 was previously our busiest year, with a total of 46 shouts over 12 months.
This increasing trend is consistent with the RNLI's 220 other stations around the coast of Britain and Ireland, despite the efforts of the Insitution and the Coastguard Agency's Sea Safety schemes. More information on these schemes is available at the RNLI's website, www.rnli.org.uk
