Successful Weekend for Fife Lifeboats

Anstruther and Kinghorn lifeboat stations had a successful weekend of fund raising on the 21st and 22nd of July.

The Kinghorn lifeboat had attended the Anstruther Lifeboat Gala on Saturday to help with safety cover and assist the Anstruther crew with a rescue demonstration. The harbour was packed with supporters and members of the public alike, who all had a good day. Over £7,500 was raised for the RNLI.

Kinghorn's own open day was also a success, raising over £570 for the RNLI and promoting the message of Sea Safety in the process. Our local coastguard volunteers and the crew of the Anstruther Lifeboat also came along to lend a hand on a day that saw the sun shine on Kinghorn beach.

The crew of the Kinghorn Lifeboat would like to extend the warmest thanks to all the friends and families, guild members, supporters, crews and other organisations who helped raise the profile of the RNLI and Kinghorn Station Branch on Sunday.
