KINGHORN RNLI TO HOST FISH SUPPER EVENT
Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat volunteers are calling on supporters to join them for their Fish Supper event on Saturday 7th October at the Lifeboat Station.
Our crewmembers regularly get called away from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to go to sea, in often horrendous conditions, and now we are putting out a ?shout? for our supporters to join the crew for a fish supper to help raise funds for this essential service.
This year a display of spectacular photos by Kirsty McLachlan of Kinghorn volunteers will be shown in the Operations Room.
The event will be held in the boat hall of the Lifeboat Station, starting at 7.30, with the suppers served around 8pm.
Crewmember and organiser Mel McGarva said, ?This will be our third Fish Supper in the boathouse and I?d love to see everyone come along to join us.
?Bring your family and friends and meet the crew whilst enjoying a fish supper. This year the fish suppers will be supplied by the well known Valente family of Kirkcaldy.
?We will also have an exhibition of photos of station volunteers in the ops room. This collection of images showing the crew at work and portraits of station personnel are fantastic and will add an extra dimension to the evening. Kirsty has been visiting the station over the past year as part of her degree projects, and now we are able to show the results!
?Fish suppers will be served in the boat hall amongst much of the lifesaving equipment; the boat will be moved onto the slipway for the evening.
?It?ll be a great opportunity to see the kit, speak to the crew and most importantly have fun!
?Tickets are ?10, and this includes your fish supper. Please bring your own bottle if you need something to wash your supper down! We?ll have cans of juice for sale, as well as tea and coffee.
?If you can?t make the event, but would like to support the event, you could organise your own fish themed supper party, and raise money for the RNLI in the process. Full details are available at https://rnli.org/fish-supper ?
Tickets are available for our station supper from Kinghorn Community Centre. They will be available for sale until Friday 6th October.
