The Royal National Lifeboat Institution - Saves Lives at Sea

Kinghorn Lifeboat Station hosted their second RNLI Fish Supper on Saturday night, with nearly 70 people enjoying a fish supper in the confines of the station?s boat hall.

The event built on the success of the inaugural event held in 2015, and another sell out of tickets ensured a great evening was had by all, whilst raising ?430 for the RNLI charity.

The RNLI Fish Supper, now in its second year, asks people to hold a fundraising fish supper event, on any scale, to raise money for the Institution, which relies entirely on donations to provide its lifesaving service.

Event organiser, and volunteer crewmember, Mel McGarva said, ?After the success of last year?s event I was keen to host the event again in 2016.

?Once again we were overwhelmed by the demand for tickets with all sold two weeks ahead of the event.

?I?d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along to support us on the night, including Kinghorn Chippy which supplied the fish suppers with a generous discount.?

The next fundraising event will be the Christmas Shopping evening, hosted by the Kingswood hotel on Friday 11th November. Tickets for the event are available from Kinghorn Community Centre, the Kingswood Hotel, Dragon?s Den, and fundraising committee members. They cost ?10 and include a glass of wine and delicious canap?s.
