The Royal National Lifeboat Institution - Saves Lives at Sea

Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat Fundraising Branch are preparing for their second fundraising event of 2015. Songs on Saturday will be held on Saturday 31st January 2015.

This event will be held in Kinghorn Church Hall, and will feature the Principal Singers of Kirkcaldy Amateur Operatic Society (KAOS) who will perform a selection of songs from their recent shows, many of which have been a sell out. A light lunch of soup and sandwiches is included in the ticket price.

This annual event is part of the RNLI’s national SOS day where supporters are challenged to hold a fundraising event with a SOS theme.

Kinghorn fundraising committee chairperson, Sheona Smith said, ‘This is our second fundraising event of 2015, and it takes a warmer direction following the very successful Loony Dook! 2015 is a milestone for the Kinghorn station, as we celebrate 50 years of service.

‘The KAOS singers will perform a number of their songs, and it promises to be a fantastic event. Tickets are limited, so I would urge you to get one soon! The event starts at noon, and will finish around 2.30pm.

‘This fundraising event, like all others, ensures the future of the RNLI. Inshore stations, like Kinghorn, cost around £85,000 per year to run; a cost borne entirely from fundraising events and donations.’

Tickets for our SOS event are available from Kinghorn Community Centre, Dragon’s Den and fundraising committee members. They cost £5 and include lunch. All profits will go to the RNLI.
