The Royal National Lifeboat Institution - Saves Lives at Sea

Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat Fundraising Branch are preparing for their second fundraising event of 2012. Songs on Saturday will be held on Saturday 26th January 2013.

This event will be held in Kinghorn Church Hall, and will feature a local choir performing a variety of songs. There will be a warming winter lunch of soup and sandwiches, which is included in the ticket price, followed by a Beetle Drive for some January fun.

This annual event is part of the RNLI’s national SOS day where supporters are challenged to hold a fundraising event with a SOS theme.

Kinghorn fundraising committee chairperson, Sheona Baxter said, ‘This is our second fundraising event of 2013, following the very successful Loony Dook, and it promises to be a fantastic event. Tickets are limited, so I would urge you to get one soon!

‘Our 2012 event was a sell-out success, and this year’s event promises to be even more fun with the inclusion of a Beetle Drive!

‘Events like this are essential to maintain the lifeboat service. In 2011 it cost the RNLI charity £10.9 million to construct new lifeboat stations to provide suitable facilities for volunteer crew.’

Tickets for our SOS event are available from Kinghorn Community Centre and Dragon’s Den. They cost £5 and include lunch. All profits will go to the RNLI.
