Lifeboat crew visit school group

In a slight change from the norm, some of the Kinghorn crew took the boat to Dalgety Bay to let primary school children there have a look.

The crewmembers offered the primary school this rare chance when they asked to see the station but had not been able to organise a trip through to Kinghorn. Dalgety Bay Primary visits Kinghorn on a regular basis and has donated money to the RNLI in the past so it was decided to repay their kindness and enthusiasm.

The crew were joined by Bill Tulloch, a local coastguard, and the children were able to see the boat, coastguard van and a short video along with some sea safety messages before the lifeboat put on a small demonstration.

We hope to see more pupils from Dalgety Bay taking an interest in their local RNLI lifeboat in future years.
