Aircraft lands safely at Edinburgh Airport after in flight drama


Lifeboats stood down as plane makes safe landing at Edinburgh Airport.

Kinghorn and Queensferry lifeboats were put on standby and asked to prepare to launch on Sunday the 2nd of March 2003 after an aircraft flying from Aberdeen airport called in a MAYDAY and prepared to make an emergency landing at Edinburgh Airport.

Luckily the plane, with 38 passengers and crew, managed to land safely at the airport and the lifeboats were stood down.
