Lifeboat Open Day 2009 (on 11/07/2009)
This could be your last chance for a good look at 'Frederick Robertson'

This years Open Day could be your last chance to see (and take photos of) the famous Atlantic 75 lifeboat close up and in action, as plans are afoot to replace the aging lifeboat with a brand new Atlantic 85 lifeboat. The Frederick Robertson has been on station since 1995 and has carried out over 660 rescues and saved over 50 lives.

With Weather pundits forecasting a hot summer ahead, keep your diary clear for Saturday 11th July 2009 when Kinghorn will again host an Open Day, featuring stalls, fun, games and food! A rescue will be performed in front of your eyes and a Helicopter will also carry out a display with the lifeboat (unless anyone needs rescued of course!)

So come on down and have a great day out, its FREE, the kids will love it and its all in a good cause, which is to keep the volunteer lifeboat operating in the Forth. The RNLI is a charity which is totally reliant upon donations from the public, but instead of just putting money in a tin, your whole family can enjoy themselves, and you can win some great prizes too!

Outcome: £4300 raised! Fantastic! Thanks to everyone who came along and to all those that helped out on the day. Well Done!
