 Vessel Disabled

Shout Number 68/2007

Date/Time: 21/12/2007 11:31 - 14:05

Called to Dysart for a Vessel Disabled

People Assisted: 1

The lifeboat was launched following reports of someone shouting for help out to sea in thick fog somewhere in the Dysart and Ravenscraig area. The lifeboat searched until a small boat was spotted beside a local oil tanker anchored in Kirkcaldy bay. The vessel was escorted to its home port - it had been lost in the thick fog with no navigation or communication aids. A second vessel was reported missing, but was found in West Wemyss harbour after a short search.
