Date/Time: 25/07/2009 23:05 - 00:25

Called to Musselburgh for a False Alarm

People Assisted: 0

Initially launched to save a man in the water near Musselburgh, the lifeboat was asked to continue after the man was rescued by police in the area as the coastguard were also informed of a possible crashed microlight in the same area.

The lifeboat crew and coastguard search teams ashore searched from Musselburgh to Gosford Bay without finding anything. The source is believed to have been some Chinese lanterns landing in the area.
