 Vessel Disabled

Shout Number 32/2012

Date/Time: 02/10/2012 11:40 - 13:40

Called to SW of Inchkeith Island for a Vessel Disabled

People Assisted: 1

The lifeboat was called to a 36ft fishing vessel that had fouled it's propellor on creel pots to the South West of Inchkeith Island. The vessel had an anchor out but was still drifting onto rocks. The lifeboat stood by as another vessel assisted with the clearing of the fouled propellor.

The lifeboat crew took the disabled boat under tow to Burntisland where they were met by a local boat who took over the tow. The crew accompanied the two boats into Burntisland harbour to ensure they could be safely tied alongside.
