Called to Port Seton for a Vessel Sinking

People Assisted: 0

Aberdeen Coastguard was alerted to a vessel which appeared to be moored off Port Seton, and which was beginning to sink.

The lifeboat was requested to go and check the boat and confirm that there was no one on board, and that there was no evidence that it had been occupied.

The volunteer crew quickly arrived on scene and confirmed that the vessel was tied to a marker post and that the boat was full of bait. It had begun to sink, but caused no immediate danger to other water users. Fisherrow Coastguard team then went to find the owner to request them to deal with the boat at low tide.

The lifeboat crew then returned to station.
