 False Alarm

Shout Number 16/2013

Date/Time: 15/06/2013 20:20 - 20:34

Called to Blae Buoy, Pettycur for a False Alarm

People Assisted: 0

A member of the public spotted a boat apparently adrift with persons in the water around No.7 channel mark, south west of Pettycur.

The lifeboat crew approached the vessel and confirmed that it was a local dive boat with divers in the water, and not in distress. No other vessels were present in the area.

Aberdeen Coastguard then stood the lifeboat down and classed the callout as a false alarm with good intent.
