Date/Time: 11/04/2012 18:05 - 18:55

Called to Fisherrow for a Vessel Aground

People Assisted: 3

The lifeboat was launched following reports of a vessel aground at Fisherrow harbour.

On arrival, a 20' yacht with 3 persons onboard was found aground on Fisherrow beach, some 100m west of the harbour.

The casualty vessel had attempted to assist another yacht, which had suffered engine failure, and in the process, got into difficulty, ending up on the beach. The lifeboat towed the vessel off the beach, and then handed the tow to a local rescue boat who took them into the harbour.

The lifeboat then returned to station.
