Called to Inchkeith for a Vessel Disabled

People Assisted: 2    Lives Saved: 2

A 999 call was received from two males on a 10ft dinghy adrift near Inchkeith. Their engine had failed, and the weather had picked up, causing them to drift eastwards.

The lifeboat crew undertook a search around the island, before the vessel was spotted by our Operations Manager, who was in an elevated position onshore.
The dinghy was then quickly located 1.75 miles east of the island.

The two casualties were cold but unharmed, and they were taken ashore to Kinghorn.
