Date/Time: 03/03/2012 03:47 - 05:17

Called to North of Inchkeith for a Vessel Disabled

People Assisted: 2

The lifeboat was launched after the pilot boat Forth Leopard issued a mayday distress message after suffering an engine room fire approximately 1.5 miles south east of Kinghorn.

The lifeboat found the pilot boat drifting, and stood by it until the fire fighting tug Fidra arrived on scene.

Fidra towed the vessel back to Leith where it was met by the fire service.
The lifeboat provided an immediate response, and assistance to the tug by transferring the pilot boat crew to the tug.
