Called to Leith for a False Alarm

Launched to report of a person in a canoe or on a surfboard south west of Inchkeith. The lifeboat was directed to the last known position off Leith Docks by the Coastguard. The object was found to be the Leith Approach buoy.

The crew were stood down, and returned to station and recovered the Lifeboat by means of a net recovery due to the large waves in Kinghorn bay.
